🐶Dog Day Out is here!🐶

🏠We need community members to give shelter dogs a break and help them find loving homes.

🐾Dog Day Out is a new field-trip program that makes it easy and convenient to take a dog out of the shelter for a day to let them stretch their legs and meet potential adopters.

🎒We provide the supplies and help match you with a dog you can take to relax at a park, exercise on a hike or chill at your favorite dog-friendly restaurant.

Enjoy your favorite summer activity with a pet in need while helping them get adopted.

🆘 Her little paws are begging for a miracle… but time is running out.

Behind those tangled curls and tired eyes is a girl who’s been forgotten. For six long years, she gave love. She wagged her tail. She waited. But now… now she stands at the shelter gate, pressing her paw against the cold bars, silently asking:

👉 “Will someone… anyone… come for me?”

Her wiry coat is soaked, her small frame lost in the shadows of a cage too cold for a heart this warm. She’s trying to be brave, but her eyes—those pleading, soulful eyes—tell us everything.

She doesn’t understand why she’s here.
She doesn’t understand why nobody has come.
She only knows she wants to leave with someone.

A dog spent nine years as a “loving companion,” then she landed at a South Carolina shelter.

“She desperately needs a friend to guide her through her senior years in a happy, loving home,” the Charleston Animal Society wrote Feb. 16 on Facebook. “Though she may be a little shy when meeting new people, once she gets to know you, she becomes the ultimate cuddle buddy.”

“She desperately needs a friend,” a South Carolina shelter wrote.
