🐾 MEET SHURI! 🐾

Sometimes, life changes in ways we don’t expect, and beloved pets find themselves needing a new chapter. 💕 Shuri came to Kenai’s House as an owner surrender, and we are committed to helping her find the loving forever home she deserves.

At about 2½ years old, Shuri is a sweet, loving girl who enjoys being part of the family. She is potty trained, crate trained, vaccinated, and knows several commands including sit, lay down, come, and shake! 🐾🎓

Shuri absolutely loves going places with her family and is great with children. She is still learning how to socialize with other dogs, and we are looking for a family who will give her the patience and positive guidance she needs as she continues to build confidence.

Shuri has already learned so much and now she’s ready to learn what it feels like to be forever loved. ❤️

The countdown is on! In just 2.5 weeks, we’ll be celebrating our first-ever Kenai’s Paw Pantry Party, and we can’t wait to bring our community together for an evening of fun, generosity, and connection.

This event is for everyone.

🐾 Meet Sarabi! 🩷

At just 5 months old, Sarabi is everything you’d want in a puppy… playful, sweet, affectionate, and an expert cuddle bug. We believe she’s a Doberman mix with a heart as big as her paws.

Sarabi’s life almost ended before it truly began. She was abandoned in the middle of the desert during a heat wave, left without food or water. Thankfully, compassionate Good Samaritans found her just in time and gave her the chance she deserved.

Now, she’s safe with Kenai’s House, and instead of wondering where her next meal will come from, she’s dreaming of a forever family to call her own.

Tonight was one of those nights when I missed Kenai a little extra. 🐾💙

I had the incredible honor of receiving the Pawsitive Impact Award from and honestly, this one hit differently.

It was a moment of validation. Of being seen. Of being heard. Of having the work we do through Kenai’s House acknowledged.

There have been so many closed doors. So many “no’s,” “not today,” and moments when people simply didn’t understand the value of saving a dog and giving them another chance.

But tonight was different.

Tonight, someone saw the vision.
Someone believed in the mission.
Someone recognized the impact.

And as I stood there accepting this award, I couldn’t help but think about the little dog who started it all.

Kenai. ❤️

The one who taught me that one dog can change the trajectory of an entire life. The one whose legacy became more than I ever imagined. The reason so many dogs have been given second chances.

The only thing missing tonight was him.

I wish he could have been there to see what his paw print has created. 🐾

Thank you, Puptqe, for this incredible honor, for believing in Kenai’s House, and for seeing the vision behind what we are building.

This award isn’t just mine. It’s for every foster, volunteer, donor, adopter, supporter, and community partner who has helped carry Kenai’s legacy forward.

Tonight, Kenai’s legacy was seen. And I know he was there. 🐾❤️

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!!
2 puppies are in need of immediate foster. The owner shut them out when the dog advocate brought them to an adoption event and forced her to take them back to the homeless encampment.

Kenai’s House is prepared to care them, but needs 1-2 fosters to get them to safety. We cover all your supplies, training support… you just have to love them and help prepare them for their next chapter.

Please reach out even if you can only help for a few weeks. Anything helps.
