💔🐾 Shadow is Still Waiting… 🐾💔

One by one, Shadow has watched his rescue siblings pack their bags, leave foster care, and head off to their forever homes. And while he celebrates each of their happy endings… he’s still quietly waiting for his own. 💛

Waiting for someone to choose him.
Waiting for stability.
Waiting for the family that finally won’t let him go.

After being threatened with euthanasia twice and rehomed multiple times through no fault of his own, Shadow still wakes up every day with hope in his heart and love to give. That alone says everything about the kind of dog he is. 🐾

He is sweet.
He is loyal.
He is resilient.
And more than anything… he deserves his turn.

🏡 Shadow is looking for a family that will see beyond his past and recognize the incredible companion standing right in front of them. A family committed to loving him through the good days, the hard days, and every moment in between.

🐾✨ Meet Lady — Our Newest Resident ✨🐾

Some dogs are impossible to forget the moment you meet them… and Lady is going to be one of them. 💛

This sweet girl was abandoned in a field near Wi******er & Domigoni, left to fend for herself until a compassionate Good Samaritan stepped in. For nearly a week, they made sure she had food, care, and kindness before reaching out to Kenai’s House for help. And of course… we said yes. 🐾

We believe Lady is a Wire-Haired Fox Terrier mix, approximately 8 months to 1 year old. She’s good with other dogs, wonderful with kids, and while she may be a little shy at first, her gentle spirit shines through quickly.

And those eyes… ✨
Lady has the kind of soulful eyes that stop you in your tracks and make you feel like she’s searching for someone to finally choose her forever.

🐶 Lady’s Highlights:

Some dogs break your heart… and rebuild it at the same time. 💛

Shadow has faced more heartbreak and uncertainty than any dog ever should. He has been threatened with euthanasia twice and has been rehomed three separate times, through absolutely no fault of his own.

And yet somehow…
He still chooses love.
He still trusts.
He still greets the world with a gentle heart and hopeful eyes. 🐾

Shadow’s story is not one of failure—it’s one of survival. Of resilience. Of a dog who continues to show up with kindness despite every reason not to.

This sweet boy has spent so much of his life wondering where he belongs. Passed from place to place, never fully given the stability he deserves. But through it all, Shadow has remained affectionate, loyal, playful, and deeply connected to his people.
