It is with a heavy heart that we must share, we had to say goodbye to our sweet, spunky Tito yesterday.
Tito showed up as a stray at my house on October 3rd of last year. Just 8 months ago. When I took him in for his neuter we discovered that he had been positive for feline leukemia and so he became our shop kitty, our mascot, our food theif and our endless entertainment. He was nothing but bones and we managed to get him to a very healthy weight.
Several weeks ago Tito got very sick and we didn't think he was going to make it, but with lots of love and medicine we got him to rebound and he was back to his silly ways. Last Friday we knew something was off about him and our hearts sank. Through the last 7 days he stopped eating, looked confused and acted as though he couldn't get comfortable. He stopped following us around while we were cleaning at the end of the day and didnt get up to demand our attention. Yesterday the 3 of us met at the vets office to discuss what could be done for him. He was in awful shape. We also discovered that his illness had took his vision from him. Just that quick, he had gone downhill.
With tears in our eyes we said goodbye and ended his suffering.
The shop feels empty, and there won't be a day that goes by that we dont think of our sweet Tito 💔
Until we meet again,
We loved you Tito 🖤
