Friendly reminder that our office is closed for the holiday. We will resume normal business hours on Saturday, July 5th, from 8AM-2PM.

If your pet is experiencing an emergency, contact Urgent Vet Fort Mill or Carolina Veterinary Specialists. Make sure to call ahead to figure out wait times and prepare the ER team for your arrival.

🇺🇸 Fourth of July Pet Safety Tips 🇺🇸

This holiday is terrifying for a lot of pets because of fireworks. Here are some tips to help ease the fear.

🎆 Create a safe, escape-proof space inside your home such as a room or a crate.
✨️Draw the curtains or drape a blanket over their crate to block out some sound and light.
✨️Turn on the TV, music, sound machine, or a fan to drown out loud booms.

🎆 Keep your pet busy with a favorite treat, food puzzle, or stuffed Kong toy.

🎆 Tire them out before the fireworks start.

🎆 Consider walking your dog on a leash for potty breaks even if you have a fenced in yard. When dogs are frightened, they can quickly squeeze through a fence or jump a fence to escape the loud noises.

🎆 Thundershirts are sometimes helpful for some dogs. They provide constant pressure to calm anxiety, fear, and over excitement.

🎆 Ask us about medications that can help reduce anxiety.
