🐴 NOW HIRING: Horse Care Manager / Ranch Manager 🐴

Tecate Horse Rescue is seeking a dedicated, experienced Horse Care Manager to live and work on our 100-acre off-grid rescue ranch in Tecate, California.

This is not just a job—it's an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of rescued horses while helping build a growing nonprofit dedicated to rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, education, and equine-assisted wellness.

Responsibilities include:
✅ Daily feeding and watering of 35+ horses
✅ Monitoring horse health and behavior
✅ Grooming and handling horses
✅ Assisting with veterinary and farrier visits
✅ Ranch maintenance and safety checks
✅ Volunteer coordination
✅ Horse transportation and hauling
✅ Record keeping and communication

Requirements:
• Strong horse care experience
• California driver's license
• Ability to safely haul horses
• Comfortable living and working off-grid
• Reliable, self-motivated, and organized
• Available for emergencies as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
⭐ Horse training and c**t starting experience
⭐ Experience working with neglected, traumatized, or senior horses
⭐ Rescue or rehabilitation experience
⭐ Leadership and ranch management skills

Schedule:
Wednesday through Sunday
Approximately 40 hours per week
Monday and Tuesday off

Housing:
On-site living is required. An RV is available on the property. Or bring your own
