DAWG PAWPIC 104 HOME REMEDIES AS MEDICINE
Please note; I am not a dr or a vet, nor recommending anything. I'm only relaying my personal experiences and opinion. For several years I have been experimenting with home remedies and natural methods of healing rather than using veterinarian's, doctors and western medicine. Don't get me wrong. Sometimes home remedies do not work. There are many great benefits to western medicine and sometimes it is needed. My pets hardly ever go to the vet. I had to visit the vet this year four times regarding three different pets, in rather serious situations I didn't feel capable of treating on my own. However, there are also many alternatives that can sometimes be utilized, that are completely natural and I believe much healthier. The dog is this picture had hot spots and instead of using antibiotics, was healed by daily topical applications of colloidal silver and diatomaceous earth. I had cured two of my dogs hot spots in this manner and gave it to someone else to try for further verification. You can see in the bottom triangle it is all healed and the hair is growing back. This particular dog, took about a week to heal. I had previously just used diatomaceous earth to dry a hot spot on one of my dogs and it did not work. Last year I got the bright idea to scrub the hot spot with colloidal silver to kill bacteria then pack it with diatomaceous earth. It worked like a charm! In three days on both my dogs, both hot spots dried completely up. My cat just spent a night at the vet recently in an emergency situation to pretty much save his life. He has best been diagnosed with an underlying "incurable" viral infection. He was on antibiotics for a time and I added colloidal silver when he came home. I am currently treating him with L-lysine and Reishi mushroom extract. I may add some some other things to his regimen. So far so good, he's back to eating and drinking and being more of a normal cat. Time will tell how well it works. It's just a wait and see game to see if/when he has another "attack." For a simple for instance, research purslane and look for it next year. Chances are it grows nearby and you "w**d" it out of your yard or driveway. It is a wonderful plant that has the highest Omega 3 level of any green plant. It is considered a super food. I added it to my salads all summer and munched on it while gardening. Next year I'm going to look into more ways of preserving it for both us and my pets. There is a wonderful world of holistic medicine and natural remedies to be explored. I believe the closer we stay to nature, the healthier us and are pets can be.
