NOW BOOKING----- We are now booking appointments to come fill out paperwork, pay for and reserve spots for the next spay/neuter day.
The surgery day is set for October 3, 2025. The pet scheduled for surgery that day will be dropped off at Alexander County Animal Shelter that morning at 7:30am and will spend the day with the surgery staff. Pets will be ready to be picked up by their owner that same afternoon.
This event is for cats only.
The surgery slots are available on a first-come basis.
The prices are:
Cat Spay (Female, includes pain injection) $85
Cat Neuter (Male, includes pain injection) $70
Feral Cat $85 (includes pain injection, ear tip, FVRCP vaccine, and rabies vaccine)
To reserve your spot for this spay/neuter event, please call the shelter at 828-632-1199 to schedule an appointment to come in and complete the necessary paperwork. Fees will also be collected at this appointment when the initial paperwork is completed.
This program is in addition to the current long-standing program we have had with some of the vets in our county.
