Spencer County Animal Shelter is a no-kill facility with only 16 dog kennels. Due to limited space, we try to get all dogs fostered, adopted, or in rescue as soon as possible. This dog is NOT at the Shelter

This is Gus he's a 9 yr old Aussie. He's up-to-date on all his shots and vaccines. He likes to run high energy. He's OK with some dogs and others. He's not. He's never been aggressive with kids, but has been to the owner, but fine at other times, so a home without kids would be best. His hair has been cut shorter in the summer. This is when he's grown out. He's so beautiful. Is leash trained.

The dog does not come too close to you, only to bark. Was at 370 and 399 Hunter Rd on Friday just running.

Beautiful Lillie is still looking for her forever, does great with kids, best in a home with male dogs. She could eventually come around to female dogs with the right training/ slow time warming up.

Lillie's is a 3 yr old lab mix, seems house trained, is fully vetted

Spencer County Animal Care & Control - Kentucky is currently caring for 19 cats and kittens!

We are in dire need of clumping cat litter of ANY kind, these cats aren't picky.

We are down to the bottom of the barrel.
