I haven't said a lot about it because I don't want to believe it and I am just wrapped up in enjoying this dog on such a level of gratitude to her and to God that I don't really want to share all the time. Nali has a suspected brain stem lesion.
I tried fundraising but between working and caring for her and myself, not much was raised. And I am not sure I would feel comfortable putting her through treatment if I had a definitive diagnosis. I took her for some alternative therapy yesterday and today I see a happier dog. A more relaxed dog. Not a cured dog. But I believe I have bought time in a way that preserves the health she has and that provides comfort in a not scary way. Chiropractic, Acupuncture and physical rehab including things to strengthen her muscles and fight the wasting left her a little tired yesterday, but in a way that satisfied my normally active dog.
Canine Rehabilitation and Conditioning Center (Sandra Hudson, CCRP) and Pawsitive Healing Veterinary Housecalls (Dr. Birdwell) were amazing yesterday.
