The Taunton Animal Hospital Here at Taunton Animal Hospital, we strive to make both you and your pet feel like family! We are under the direction of Dr. Kathi Cowe.

She bought the practice in November of 2012 after Dr. Wessels retired after 40 years of service. Dr. Cowe is a Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine graduate and has a varied background in emergency medicine and oncology. Our staff has over 30 years of experience and look forward to providing you and your pet the best service we can. We use advanced medical equipment and procedures to ensure this.

We have an in-house lab that allows us to obtain quick results and also offer digital radiology and laser therapy for the best care.

❄️ Weather Update — February 24th ❄️

For the safety of our staff, clients, and patients, Taunton Animal Hospital will be closed for the remainder of today due to ongoing snow removal and unsafe travel conditions.

We know this can be inconvenient and truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Our team will be reaching out on our next open business day to reschedule any missed appointments as quickly as possible.

If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, please seek care at your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

Due to ongoing snow removal efforts, we will be closed Tuesday, February 24th for the MORNING. We will monitor conditions overnight and re-evaluate the possibility of reopening in the afternoon.

This was not an easy decision, but the safety of our staff, clients, and patients is our top priority.

If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency while we are unavailable, please contact or visit your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

We truly appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for your patience, and we hope everyone stays safe and warm during the storm.

Due to the impending snow storm, we will be closed Monday, February 23rd. We are hoping to re-open Tuesday, February 24th. If your pet is having a medical emergency and we are not available, please call or go to your nearest emergency room. If you have an appointment scheduled with us for tomorrow, a staff member will be attempting to reach out to notify you. We hope everyone stays safe during the storm!

Happy Monday! Just as a reminder, we will only be open til 12pm today due to the holiday. If your pet is having a medical emergency please call or go to your closest emergency room. We will open for Normal business hours on Tuesday, February 17th at 9am.

Happy Friday Everyone! Due to the amount of snow expected on Monday, we have decided to close on Monday, January 26th for the safety of our clients and staff. We ask that if your animal will need their medication before then, to please call and request to fill them tomorrow as there will be no staff in at all Monday. We will be tomorrow, Sunday January 24th from 9am to 12pm. We hope everyone has a great snowy weekend and to stay warm and safe!

If your pet is having a medical emergency, please seek emergency care at Bay State Vet Emergency Services in Swansea or VCA in Weymouth 🐾❄️

We hope everyone is having an amazing Holiday Season so far! With Christmas just a few days away, we wanted to update everyone on our holiday hours. We will be CLOSED Christmas Eve, 12/24 as well as Christmas Day, 12/25. We will be open for medication and food pickup only on Friday 10am-1pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm. For next week, we will be CLOSED New Years Eve 12/31 as well as New Years Day 01/01. We will reopen 01/02 for normal business hours. As always- contact us with any questions! Have a healthy, happy and safe rest of the year.

Hello everyone! We hope everyone is having a great start to the holiday season. We wanted to make everyone aware of our upcoming holiday hours. We will be closed on Thanksgiving, 11/27.
