Alumni Update on Zeus & Josie -  Perfect Angels… Mostly 😂

We LOVE getting updates about how perfectly our SoCo pups are behaving in their forever homes. But we’ve gotta admit… we also love the reports of the mischief they get themselves into!

That’s all part of the fun, folks! These sweet creatures bring us so much love, loyalty and companionship… but they also bring unexpected moments, a whole lot of laughs, and occasionally… the need for a new collar. 🤣

This one was worth sharing:

“I think Zeus is broken – we may need to exchange him. 🤣
Tried to get pics of new fall collars and this is what he gives me.
By the way – we had to get new collars because he ate Josie’s when they were boarded together.”

Meanwhile, Josie understood the assignment and sat there like the perfect girl she is for her photo.

Zeus and Josie are keeping their family entertained! And they are so loved, which makes us so happy to hear!

Thanks for the update and for giving these two such a wonderful forever home!

Three More SoCo Happy Tails! ❤️

These three adorable babies were scooped up quickly, and we couldn’t be happier that they each found wonderful families to spoil and adore them!

These pups were found by a kind woman one morning as she was getting ready to leave for work and noticed three tiny puppies huddled together underneath her car. They were thin, covered in fleas, scared and confused. No owner could be found, so she brought them to SoCo, and we were happy to give them a safe place to land.

Now look at them! ❤️ Three little pups who started out scared and alone are heading off to lives filled with so much love.

Happy tails, Isaac, Indy & Ivan! We are so happy for you!

A little public announcement from us at SoCo… for the good of the dogs AND the people!

Bringing home a rescue dog is exciting, but it can also be a LOT for them. New house, new people, new routine… they’re learning a whole new life!

Give them a little time to decompress. Keep things calm and consistent. Let them come to you. And please don’t judge too soon!

The dog you see those first few days may look very different once they feel safe and settled. They just need some time to figure things out and learn that they’re home. ❤️

Give them time, patience & a chance.

Let them show you who they really are, it’s worth it.

Douglas & Dani were adopted this past weekend!

Somehow, we didn’t get an adoption photo of Dani, but she went to a lovely young family and will even have a kitty buddy to grow up with!

And here’s (4th photo) Douglas heading off to his awesome forever home, where he has another dog to romp with on a huge property, plus family who lives right next door to play with, too! A perfect setup!

We’re so happy for these two, and now it’s their siblings’ turn!

Introducing Dari (1st photo), Derrick (2nd photo) & Dexie (video)! These three beautiful pups have the sweetest, gentlest personalities, love other dogs, and would make wonderful additions to your family. All three are in wonderful foster homes with other dogs and awesome foster parents, so they’re getting lots of love and learning all about being great family dogs.

Happy Monday!

Starting out the week with one of our very sweet and adoptable pups currently being fostered in Pennington, NJ! Meet Dari!

Dari is having a little trouble figuring out exactly what to do with this toy 😂, but she’s doing GREAT in her foster home with a wonderful couple and their super dog, Jack, who is so good with all the pups he helps foster! ❤️

Dari is one of a litter of five Hound/Lab mixes, and they are some of the sweetest pups ever. Three are still looking for their forever homes, Dari, Derrick and Dani!

Dari loves other dogs, is very friendly with people, and is doing great in foster. She’s ready to find her forever family!

And last, but certainly not least… sweet Capri’s happily ever after!

Our final Uvalda pup announcement is this gorgeous girl, Capri, who found an equally gorgeous big German Shepherd brother! He stole the show at our adoption event, hanging out so calmly and being SO good with all the people and dogs who stopped by. We were thrilled when he got to take Capri home as his new little sister! ❤️

This wonderful family wanted to rescue a pup this time, and we are so happy they chose SoCo Rescue and one of our beloved Uvalda 8 pups!

And from these pictures, it’s pretty obvious Capri is going to get LOTS of love from her human sister, too! 

We couldn’t be happier for Capri and her new family. What a perfect happily ever after for our beautiful girl!

That makes 7 of our 8 Uvalda pups happily home with their forever families!

Now, there’s just one little guy left, Cameron, waiting for his turn.❤️

Two more of the Uvalda 8 ❤️
Crockett, now Ozzy, and Chaney, now Cody, both found SUCH wonderful forever families (separately) last weekend!

These two boys who look like twins have the BEST lives ahead of them! Their families were so excited to bring them home, and we’ve already received some wonderful updates. 🥰

Ozzy’s new mom says:
“We have renamed Crockett to Ozzy since he is our Prince of Darkness! We are completely in love with him!!! Hannah Bella is adjusting to having a brother, but they’re playing and wagging tails. Ozzy has gained 3 pounds this week, loves to eat and is always looking for cuddles. He’s adjusting well and is such a joy.

Thank you so much for the wonderful care that you all provided to the Uvalda 8. Without Cameron finding them and your love and care, they would not be here today. It’s not even been a week, and I can’t imagine life without this sweet boy.”

Cody’s new mom says:
“It’s going great! His new name is Cody (one of our other dogs is Bodhi, so Bodhi and Cody!), his vet appointment is tomorrow, and he’s been such a good boy!”

This is exactly why we do what we do. ❤️ Two sweet boys who started out without much hope now have families who are completely in love with them.

Ozzy & Cody, we couldn’t be happier for you both!

Thank you to the two wonderful families who are giving these boys the happy lives they deserve.
