Spotlight Dog of the Week: Remembering Buddy 🌈🐾

This week, our Spotlight Dog of the Week goes to a very special boy who held a huge place in all of our hearts—Buddy the Westie.

For the past few years, Buddy was a faithful regular in our salon every three weeks. Seeing his happy tail and sweet face was always a highlight of our day, and getting to care for him over the years was a true privilege.

Sadly, Buddy recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We are sending all our love, warm thoughts, and big hugs to his family during this difficult time. Thank you for sharing your sweet boy with us for so many years.

Rest peacefully, Buddy. You will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. ❤️🕊️

🐾 It’s a wonderful day at Dockside Doggies Pet Grooming! 🐾

We are thrilled to announce that our Dog of the Day is this absolutely dapper Miniature Schnauzer!

🌟 Look at that freshly groomed mustache and the adorable plaid bandana!

Here are some fun facts about these little guys with big personalities:
🇩🇪 GERMAN ORIGINS: Miniature Schnauzers were originally bred in Germany as farm dogs, focusing on ratting.
🧔 THAT SIGNATURE LOOK: The name "Schnauzer" comes from the German word for "snout" or "mustache." Their unique facial hair was developed to protect them from bites when they were working.
📏 THREE SIZES: They are the smallest of the three Schnauzer breeds (Miniature, Standard, and Giant).
🗣️ BIG TALKERS: They are intelligent and very vocal! They have many "talky" barks, chortles, and sounds to communicate.
💖 FAMILY FOCUSED: They are generally incredibly loyal, affectionate, and protective family companions.
