When prepping, keep these three easy practices in mind:

1. The 3-Day Rule: Only keep thawed raw food in the refrigerator for up to three days to ensure peak freshness.

2. Mind the Bowl Material: Wash hands, surfaces, and bowls after every meal. Put porous plastic or silicone bowls in the dishwasher, while stainless steel or glass can be hand-washed.

3. The 1-Hour Window: If your pet doesn't finish their meal right away, pick up and refrigerate any uneaten food within one hour.
