Hi! My name is Kay. After 5 1/2 years of working as a pet sitter for another company, I find myself hanging out my own shingle, so to speak. I will now be operating under Carefree Critters Pet Sitting, and I am accepting new clients in Tarpon Springs, FL, and the immediate surrounding area. In addition to the pet sitting experience, I have at least a decade of experience working in the pet trade. I specialize in dogs, cats, birds, small animals, reptiles, amphibians, and fish. There aren’t a whole lot of animals that I haven’t taken care of over the years. 😊
I do in-home visits, the number of which varies depending on type of pet(s) and individual needs. I am licensed and insured, and certified in pet first aid. I am reliable, honest, and trustworthy, and I love my animal clients as if they were my own.
The advantages to in-home visits:
1. Your pets will not have to be stressed out by being left in an environment they are not familiar with.
2. In-home visits are very cost effective for those that have multiple pets.
3. I will also get your mail, bring in your trash cans, and water your plants, if needed.
4. Individualized care and love for your pets as opposed to getting “lost in the crowd” at a boarding facility.
5. Your pets will come to know me and be comfortable around me for subsequent visits.
Rates:
Dog visit, 30-45 minutes; 3-4 a day: Starting at $20 per visit
Cat visit, 20-30 minutes; 1-2 a day: Starting at $17 per visit
Bird/Small animal visit, 20-30 minutes; 1-2 a day: Starting at $17 per visit
Reptile/amphibian visit, 10-20 minutes; 1-2 a day: Starting at $17 per visit
Fish only visit, 5-10 minutes; 1-2 per day: Starting at $12 per visit
*Multiple animals are $20 and up; cage cleaning may incur an additional fee if a lot is involved
Hourly visit: $25 and up, first hour, $15 and up, each additional hour.
A 10% discount will be given to veterans and first responders.
Policies:
* A Meet & Greet is required before I will care for your pets for the first time. During this visit, I will get to know your pets and they will get to know me, and we can discuss their care. I do not charge for this visit.
*Payment is due upon the first visit either by cash, Zelle, Venmo, or PayPal. I reserve the right to refuse service if payment is not made available on or before the first visit.
*If you need to cancel a service, a 100% refund will be given as long as it’s longer than 24 hours before the first visit. If it’s within 24 hours before the first visit, I will retain the price of one visit and refund the rest. Right now the cancellation policy for holiday weekends will be the same, but this may change if I get busier.
*If you will be gone longer than the agreed upon service times and need extra visits, you must let me know via phone call or text, otherwise I will assume you will be home as planned and not return.
*Texting or Facebook messaging are my preferred methods of communication. If you would like to call, please leave a message, as my phone will go directly to voicemail if I don’t already have your number in my phone.
