🚨 Public Service Announcement 🚨

Due to the cold wind and blowing snow, the Tarkio Pool will be CLOSED tomorrow.

Not because it’s broken…
Not because we don’t want to swim…

But because it’s snowing, windy, and about 20 degrees.

We understand many of you were planning to get some laps in between snowstorms, but safety comes first.

On the bright side, lifeguard applications are now available!

Stop by City Hall or give them a call to pick one up. Because if we’re going to survive this Missouri winter, we might as well start planning for pool weather. ☀️

Work has begun on the tennis courts but the Tarkio Parks and Recreation are still taking donations for the Joseph Stevens Memorial Tennis Courts.

The cold season may be setting in, but we’re already looking ahead to warmer days! Work continues toward renovating our tennis and pickleball courts by spring. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve raised $50,425 so far — we’re getting close! If you’re planning year-end giving, please consider supporting this community project and help us finish strong.

Drop off your donations with Dhani at City Hall from 8-4, M-F or by mail.

Bees, lots of bees. Stay clear of the 1000 block of Maple St., this evening especially if you are allergic to stings. A large nest of honey bees in a tree that was being cut down was located and they are MAD!

Recommendation, stay a block in all 4 directions from that block to be safe from stings. Cannot stress how mad they are.
