It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved friend, Wife, mentor, teacher and veterinarian Dr. Monica Lyn Silvers.
After a sudden battle with health problems, Monica passed away on the evening of the 25th of February.

As she left this world, she was surrounded by her one and only love, Clyde Garner and friends that loved her dearly. Calls and text messages from afar during Monica's final days were greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.

She has touched the Taos community in the time she has been here, leaving a permanent impact through her love for animals and the inspiration she instilled into those who were blessed to work beside her.

She was a strong, intelligent, courageous woman whose life was filled with curiosity, exploration, and love. Her infectious laugh and bright spirit will be carried with all those who knew her.

The panel will include film participant and veterinarian Dr. Kathy Gervais, NOMV director of VMHS, Dr. Katie Lawlor, film director Grace Galletti and NOMV director of outreach, Danny Rosenmund, moderated by Gigi Tsontos, NOMV executive director.

The Weight They Carry explores the nationwide mental health crisis that veterinarians are experiencing. Through the eyes of compassionate and seasoned vet, Kathy Gervais, the film brings viewers into the heart of a busy veterinarian practice where life and death decisions are made constantly. Although as Kathy shows us, it's not just our furry friends whose lives are at stake.

puppy food recall for salmonella

Blue Ridge Beef is recalling 9,600 lbs of their 2 lb log Puppy Mix Lot #08/06/N25 & 08/16/N25 UPC 854298001696 due to a contamination of Salmonella. (Lot numbers are stamped in the clips on the end of the chubs/bags)

So much gratitude to Ruth Ellison Laake for asking her friends to donate to our nonprofit for HER birthday! She is so incredibly generous and kind, and we are so incredibly grateful to her for this opportunity, as well as to all her friends who purchased items from our amazon wish list.

Hello friends. We are at the point where we could use some big fluffy towels (for the pets' comfort as well as for fear free restraint) and some newspaper. Does anyone have some clean used towels or newspaper they could part with? We would be ever so grateful!
