Many of you already know, but we need to make it official on the page. We are getting out of the rescue business. And it is a business, unfortunately. Sadly, we just can't keep up. The need is too great. And in order to meet the needs of the animals we both have to work full time. That's not fair to the animals. So, we are finding homes for those that we can and the rest will remain here living out their days on our little farm. This was not an easy decision for us, and we are so grateful for the help that we've received along the way. Thank you to everyone for your support over this past ten years.

Olive and Bubba would TOTALLY react this way to someone else trying to come into their space!

And this is why it's so important to watch your dog's output (p*e an p**p!) If they stop p**ping, there is something seriously wrong. Sending healing thought to Sebastian and much love to Critter Crusaders, they are life savers!

EMERGENCY!
This afternoon we received a call for help on a three year old little Shih Tzu who had a major foreign body obstruction. We took this case immediately knowing it is the difference between life or death. Sebastian went into emergency surgery at Blue Pearl Cedar Rapids with Dr. Rhonda Aper and the news wasn’t good. The toy he ingested had been there for several days. We can’t even imagine his pain. His small intestines had perforated, spilling products of digestion into his abdomen. Dr. Aper had to remove 70% of this poor little guys intestine. Once again…we step off of a cliff with another huge case. We anticipate little Seb will be hospitalized for many days to come in critical care. His odd of pulling through are 50/50 but we believe in his will to live. We have asked so much of our supporters in recent days with so many big cases going at one time. This will be many thousands of dollars, but how could we not give this boy his chance of a lifetime? If you are so fortunate to donate…we can’t begin to tell you our level of appreciation. Prayers are definitely needed for Seb as well. We will keep you all updated. This will be a struggle.❤️🐾

And, PLEASE, don't remove their collars before they have passed, removing them brings too much stress in those final moments.

This is important for every pet owner to hear!
