Sweet old man ❤️
SENIOR SWEETHEART ALERT
Miklo A2523369 is a 13-year-old senior gentleman who came to the Pet Resource Center on 5/11/26 as an owner surrender.
He weighs 90 pounds and is heartworm negative.
We spent time with him today, and what a sweet senior boy he is!
Per his surrender notes, Miklo was reported to have resource guarding behaviors and spent time under observation with the Behavior Team.
Since that time, he has been removed from observation status and no concerning behaviors have been noted.
Miklo has also participated in playgroup and is currently listed as Gentle/Dainty/Tolerant, showing appropriate social behavior with other dogs.
During our visit, Miklo was easy to leash and walked slowly and calmly toward the play yards without reacting to any of the dogs he passed along the way.
Once outside, he immediately sought affection and happily solicited pets from head to tail.
This handsome senior is very treat motivated and knows how to sit politely for treats, taking them gently from your hand. At one point, Miklo hopped up onto the bench beside us, hoping for a few extra snacks and some quality time with us.
Despite his age, Miklo still enjoys life's simple pleasures. He took the opportunity to cool off with a relaxing dip in the pond and then stayed close to both volunteers throughout the visit, preferring companionship over adventure.
Miklo was easy to return to his kennel and uncomplicated to unleash, remaining calm and cooperative throughout our time together.
This gentle senior deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and a place to spend his golden years surrounded by comfort and kindness.
Seniors like Miklo are often overlooked, but they have so much love left to give.
We love him, and we hope someone will give this sweet old man the retirement home he deserves.
