Hi! My name is Carolina. I'm a 33 lb 1 year and 3 month old Catahoula mix. I am the sweetest gal ever (or at least that's what my foster mom says). I am fully crate trained/potty trained, spayed and up-to-date on all my shots and vaccines. I love all dogs, cats and people (except my previous owner). My first mom moved and instead of finding a good home for me she let me loose and I got picked up by Animal Control. They were going to euthanize me (I'm not sure what that is but it doesn't sound good). Thanks to Aussie and Me Animal Rescue and my foster mom, I'm finally safe and looking for my furever home!

In my spare time I like giving lots of kisses, going to the beach with my playing with my bone, chasing lizards, swimming at the beach, and running around the dog park catching tennis balls with my with my friends.

If you or someone you know has room in their heart and in their home for me, please email my foster mom Laura at [email protected]. I'm currently Being fostered in Tampa and my tail is already wagging with excitement to meet you!

These two boys have had such a very sad life. They were found and taken to Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center (formerly Hillsborough County Animal Services). It was then discovered they were used as bait dogs, and when they were just left to die, they found their way into the heart of a woman who runs a rescue like no other. She loves them all, no matter what the challenge. In fact, the more of a challenge, the more she wants to help them. So is the story with Washington and Lincoln. Without Dawn Jenkins Bethel, these two boys would have never stood a chance at life. They would have been ignored by many and tossed aside as dogs used as bait. They have made great strides with the training they have had thus far. Little baby steps to them, huge strides to Dawn. There is still much to do for them, and doing this is not as easy as one might think. It takes patience. It takes time. It takes lots of love, and it takes money. These boys had a wonderful trainer who was working closely and regularly with them and had seen positive changes. However, this wonderful trainer sadly lost his life last week. This not only caused a terribly huge loss to his family and friends, but the countless dogs who were being trained by him will also be affected. I cry for the dogs who were being trained by this great man, because he never gave up on them. He worked hard to make great changes in their lives and to give them confidence. You could see the love they had for him. They trusted him.
Dawn now must replace this trainer with someone who can work closely with Washington and Lincoln, at a higher cost. Regardless of the cost, Dawn Jenkins Bethel will not give up on them. She is determined to see these two sad boys have the happy life they deserve. She will work hard to be sure this happens.
We are asking our amazing Village to help get these boys the life they need and deserve. A donation from anyone and everyone who can help would be immensely appreciated not only by Dawn, but mostly by Washington and Lincoln. These two WILL have that happy life one day. They WILL trust people again, and most importantly, they WILL love again.

Pleae help us raise funds for these two defeated souls...Washington was pulled from HCAS in the last hour. His picture speaks a thousand words, but the ones most apparent are defeat, fear and hopelessness. Washington has scars all over his body and appears to be used as a bait dog. Lincoln's story..…

This is "JVC" She is a 4 year old Hound Mix and is heart worm NEGATIVE! She is SO sweet and SO calm! She loves to play with her tennis ball I got her. She was a little timid at first but once I brought her home she started to warm up and was wagging her tail having so much fun playing with her tennis ball :) I am temporarily fostering her until the adoption event Saturday October 4th. This girl would be the perfection addition to a family. She gets along great with my two year old dog. She doesn't bark or whine!! She walks pretty well on a leash too. Please share this sweetie

Look at who is in the Tampa Bay Times?!?!? Yep, that is Lyla who was originally posted on Rescue Me Tampa Shelter Dogs. Please PM Janice Jonasson Eiring if interested in adopting this sweet girl!! You will have a friend forever!

The first owner of Lyla, a 5-year-old shepherd mix, gave her up unceremoniously to the county shelter. She found a temporary home just hours before she would have become a statistic. Her foster family soon discovered a happy, healthy, friendly, potty-trained pal who loves car rides and other dogs. Y…

URGENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are desperate to find Mabel a new foster home until she can land her furever family!!!!! I never intended to foster her (I have 2 large rescues of my own in a 1 bedroom house!) but instead just went and picked her up for someone else. The placement did not work, and she has been here for a few months now. I just started a new job yesterday, working 12 hour shifts....she is crated. :( That breaks my heart. She is just over 30 pounds (a little girl), current on shots, HW-. Sharp as a tack (learned to sit, shake, wait for me to open doors, etc, all in about 5 minutes). She is high energy and loves to run!!!! She and my other dogs play rough....but tails are always wagging. She is a beautiful girl....she deserves so much more than I can give her but am out of options. She could easily clear a 4 foot fence (she can get her front paws ALMOST to the top om y 6 foot fence). She needs someone who can match her awesome energy and not spend her life in a crate. Can you help????

Please contact Michelle Brooks directly at [email protected]
