Dogs eating grass is more common than you think—and vets say it’s usually harmless.

It’s often tied to instinct, boredom, or simply liking the taste or texture, not necessarily an upset stomach. But context matters: sudden, excessive grass eating or symptoms like vomiting or low energy are worth a vet check.

Also be mindful of where your dog is grazing, since pesticides and fertilizers can pose risks.
