Nice picture of Geraldine this morning. I’ve noticed the baby black mountains are becoming more active in the mornings now that the rain has started to be more regular. Moisture and shade seems to be a driving force for activity in these guys.

We had a pretty good rain last night and this morning. The emys decided to get up earlier and enjoy all the rain. It goes to show how much this species loves water. The sun was barely up and they were all out, checking out all the rain.

One of the Australian water dragons. These guys have been a blast to work with and have grown like weeds. They are finally to size where they can get some larger prey items so I expect another growth spurt out of them. They are still a bit skittish and aren’t too happy to eat from tongs but it’s a work in progress.

Went over to my buddy Skylar’s place ( or or ), we got some cages from Sky and of course you can’t go to a herper’s place and not see some animals. Sky has one of the most diverse collections of barons racers I’ve ever seen. Some animals are phases I’ve only ever seen at his place. Very excited to see what he does with his group in upcoming seasons.(remember me when you produce some brown phase haha) And don’t get me started on his monitor group. All of his enclosures were developed with the animals needs first and you can tell that when you see the animals and how comfortable they are. Sky is doing some really great stuff in the hobby. I get tons of ideas for my collection everytime I go to his place. Keep it up man.
