GTBCC Greater Tampa Bay Collie Club (GTBCC) serving all collie lovers
in the Tampa Bay area and beyond We have membership meetings once a month, currently via Zoom.

The Greater Tampa Bay Collie Club was established in 1981 by local Collie breeders from the Tampa Bay area. We are an AKC sanctioned club that is dedicated to honoring the purpose of the Breed Standard for the Collie. Our club hosts two AKC Collie specialty shows a year and one AKC sanctioned puppy match. We have participated in Performance and Conformation events with club members garnering notab

le achievements with their Collies. Many of our members are supporting members of the Collie Club of America, Collie Health Foundation, Collie Rescue, and Collie Club Quarter Century Group. We provide on-going education and advice on the care and training of the Collie. Those with an interest in Collies are invited and encouraged to join our club. Opportunities are available for members to volunteer, participate, and enjoy the club's two annual AKC specialty shows, our annual AKC-sanctioned puppy match as well as educational, charitable, and social activities. Our annual Collie specialties regularly attract top breeders, owners, and handlers who present some of the most outstanding Collies in the country. The Greater Tampa Bay Collie Club is a member of the Collie Health Foundation. This year our educational program was on CHIC (Canine Health Information Center). Maureen Watts, GTBCC lead a discussion on CHIC which focused on the benefits to research, breeders, and pet owners. The Collie Health Foundation supports members with subsidies who pursue CHIC certifications.

We are sorry to inform you but we have to cancel our 4 conformation shows this coming weekend because of the impending hurricane Milton.
We were informed today that the Turner Center in Arcadia, where our shows were to be held, has become a long term hurricane shelter and facility to be used by the National Guard.. Because of this we cannot hold our shows there this coming weekend. Also to subject our exhibitors to possible flooded streets, downed power lines and hurricane debris would be a safety hazard.
We will not be giving out refunds for entry fees. We will void any checks sent to us to pay for Reserved Grooming, RV Parking and Paid parking.
We cannot reschedule these shows at this time. It is truly a sad day for us to cancel these shows but we have to consider the safety of the dogs, their exhibitors and the availability of the facility in our decision.
