- Introducing the animals I’ve rescued while being inactive -

Meet, Earl Grey (aka Earl!). Earl is a middle aged cockatiel parrot who we noticed flying in the trees a couple months before we were actually able to capture him. He was scared & uncatchable. I immediately started sifting through lost cockatiel posts within 15 miles of me & couldn’t find anything. He disappeared for a couple months but I was almost positive I heard him whistling up in the trees every once in a while during that time. Finally (and sadly) one morning I was taking care of my backyard animals & there he was, sitting on my patio, sick, dehydrated, hungry & overall unwell. He was so weak that he literally let me just pick him up & bring him inside while not fighting me a bit. With some TLC he has become the cutest little bird who whistles for you every time you are in his sight, loves head rubs & sitting on your shoulder. I’m so happy I was able to provide him a happy home, unfortunately I have continued looking in groups & have not found 1 lost cockatiel with his head markings. My town has lots of abandoned animals dumped so often, I assume that’s what happened with him. 🤎🦜(swipe to see him when I first got him)
