🚨 WE NEED YOUR ADVICE!!!! Please read!! 🚨

We’re hosting yet ANOTHER Foster Open House tomorrow, Saturday, June 13th, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM at our rescue facility:

Because if we’re being honest… we’re running out of ideas. 😔

✔️Every week, we send emails to our foster network.

✔️Our Foster Coordinator personally reaches out to current fosters and invites them to come help.

✔️We post on social media. We make videos. We send texts. We host open houses.

And yet lately, when animals need foster homes, it feels like no one wants to step forward.

For the last few open houses, people came out in DROVEEESSS when we had fluffy, long-haired Chihuahuas needing help, practically fighting over them.

But no one seems to care about these ones: the scared dogs. The medical cases. The moms with babies. The animals that aren’t “Instagram perfect.”

We know it’s summer. We know everyone wants to go on trips, spend weekends at the beach, make vacation plans, and enjoy time with family and friends.

But what about THEM????

We are genuinely asking: WHAT. ARE. WE. MISSING???? 🥹

Mama Lyka’s SIX adorable white pit bull puppies have officially graduated from the “tiny potato” stage and are now ready to find their forever families! 🤍🐾

After weeks of growing, playing, snuggling, and keeping their mama on her toes, these little nuggets are finally ready to start meeting potential adopters!

And tomorrow is a BIG day for them… 🥹

This will be one of their very first public events ever, so please be extra sweet with them when you come meet them. Give them all the gentle boops, cuddles, compliments, and encouragement—they’re just babies and still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. ❤️

263 Animals. One Rescue. One Community. 🐾💔

Today, Mercy Full Project has 263 animals under our care.

263 lives depending on us for food, shelter, medical care, foster homes, transportation, cleaning, fundraising, and love.

Sometimes people see our building and think we’re a small rescue.

The reality is that our operation is anything but small.

Every single day, our team is balancing emergencies, owner surrenders, abandoned animals, medical cases, adoptions, foster placements, and hundreds of animals who need us to show up for them.

Our longest resident, Lucy, has been waiting for a home for 6 years. 💔

Our newest arrivals are the adorable Sailor and Moon puppies, who are just beginning their journey with us. ❤️

Between Lucy and those puppies are 261 other animals hoping for a second chance.

Lately, we’ve received comments asking why we can’t take in more and more animals.

The answer is simple: resources.

We never want to say no. Every animal matters. Every call breaks our hearts. But rescue isn’t just about intake—it’s about providing quality care to every animal already depending on us.

Our resources are limited.
Our need is enormous.
And we cannot do this alone.

We don’t know what’s been in the air lately… but so many of our rescues have needed emergency medical care, and we are truly struggling to keep up. 💔

In just a short amount of time, we’ve had:

🐾 Russel recovering from massive open wounds caused by untreated abscesses
🐾 Brownie hospitalized for 2 weeks with an unknown illness
🐾 Butters, our goofy blind/deaf puppy, rushed to the vet tonight as his neurological issues worsen and he can’t stop spinning in circles
🐾 Tiny kittens unable to gain weight, no matter how much they eat
🐾 Romeo, one of our senior pups, receiving ongoing care for a long list of medical issues
🐾 Daisy Mae needing extensive dental work to repair her painful teeth
🐾 Our Grease puppies have been in and out of the hospital with yet another unknown sickness
🐾 Precious, a mama pup, needing emergency care after birth complications

And honestly… that barely scratches the surface. There are SO MANY MORE currently that we could not fit in this caption or post.

Emergency medical care is incredibly expensive and we are drowning.

🙏We genuinely need our community right now.🙏

Right now, we are carrying a lot, and if we’re being honest, it’s scary. But we also know that everything we’ve accomplished has only been possible because this community has stood beside us every step of the way.

UPDATE: We are ONLY accepting applicants for Red who are LOCAL TO TAMPA, FL & surrounding areas. Thank you! 🙂

💔 Last Sunday, we hosted a private mini adoption event specifically for Red.

We invited a few other pups too, just so families would have other options to meet in case they weren’t selected as the best fit for him.

And somehow… every single dog at RED’S EVENT found a home that day except Red. 😔

He watched the other dogs leave with their new families while he went back to foster care, still waiting for someone to choose him.

The thing is, Red is genuinely such a good boy.

✅ 6 years old
✅ About 12 lbs
✅ Potty trained
✅ Affectionate and cuddly
✅ Loves to relax and hang out with his people

His only “flaw”? He gets a little anxious in busy public settings and can be vocal when there’s a lot going on around him. 🥹

But at home? He’s the complete opposite.

At home, Red is calm, easygoing, and happiest curled up next to his favorite person. He isn’t looking for adventure. He isn’t looking for excitement. He’s just looking for someone to love.

We know his person is out there somewhere. We just need them to see him.
