Gritty Kitty has fought hard for months. Today the cryptococcus won. Her cerebellum has been invaded. Ive bottle fed her today with robotic motions just to get nutrition in her . I took her to the vet and hugged my awesome Vet Dr. Angela Baccus and cried. We both agreed there's nothing else we can do. Grits is on her way to the rainbow road. Im raising 900$ via my cashapp $Gogoz for Lapoflove.com . They will euthanize at my house with Gritty on my lap not knowing any fear. Just falling asleep till I see her again when its my time. Please donate if you care and can. To all who have donated thus far I want to thank you so much. The Dr. said she would of died back in November without all the medical assistance and surgery. So thank you for giving her another half year of life. For an 11-year-old cat, six months is roughly equivalent to two human years. Gritty lost 1 lb in one week. Ive kept her alive syringing ge**er stage 2 baby food. Her liver values are high but taking her off the antifungal should fix that. Ive got her on appetite stimulants . I bought super high caloric food and im gonna syringe feed her 8x a day instead of 4x. She has a recheck im one week to make sure liver values go down and she's eating. Shes a fighter. Grits has not been doing well guys . Im so sorry. She stands up . Wobbles. Then falls over. She goes for bloodwork and scans tomorrow out of my pocket. I love her. We love her. Ive kept her going by syringing Ge**er baby food. Tomorrow a new update on her health. On a happy note: every night she snuggles up on my chest to my neck and buries her head as I pet her and fall asleep.

Grits is doing amazing. A special thank you and a breeze of gratitude to all that prayed or donated for her. She had her sutures out today. Surgery was rough but she made it and eliminated 99% of the Cryptococcus that was taking her over insides. I have to say besides the wounds from surgery still healing she looks like the kitty I met at Herschels over half a year ago and fell in love with. Once fully healed ill bring her back on leash and tether for her loved regulars to see at Herschels
She has officially been adopted as a full time inside shelter cat by Scraps of Life. She has a new chance at life. She will be spoiled furever. Pawsome!

My letter to my vet today for clarification of what I've experienced during the rescue of Grits the star cat from herschels scratch restaurant. Grits very slowly strolls to regular adores them and just calmly walks table to table making 🧡 friends. Its been 3 months I think now since I trapped her and put her in a loving family life. She has adapted so well. All 6 other cats adore her and although not fond of the dogs all the way yet tolerates them. Shes been sick for sure but because of your love and donations she's walked a different path with a death much further off and her life has pain treatment too. Now the cure is in front of us. We can not stop now we've all put so much into this. Blood sweat and tears for me, but all you donors have given a faith of looking forward Grits would of never had. To be transparent im posting my latest email to our angel Dr. Backus who I trust with my heart where Grits resides. If anything is incorrect I'll post her reply but you all deserve to know what's going on past and present. So the curtain lifts. Any questions I'll humbly answer thank you very much for your time.
