In honor of National Chocolate Day, here's a fun fact about me and my friends!

As many of you know, chocolate is extremely toxic to dogs. This is because of an ingredient called theobromine. We aren't able to digest it nearly as quickly as our owners can - so therefore, it can build up in our system and cause our blood to become toxic! It only takes less than an ounce of dark chocolate to poison a 19kg (41.8) doggo, so it's very important to get us to a vet quickly if we ever accidentally do a bad and get ahold of your chocolate!

Happy New Year everyone!

My parents are reaching some bumps in the road with my training. I have become scared of absolutely EVERYTHING. Even people! I also don't like the car. My dog trainer says it's just a phase that dogs go through while growing up and it is even MORE exacerbated because Doberman's tend to be scared-y pants. My trainer thinks I'll grow out of it.

In order to help understand that people and cars are not scary, my parents have taken me many places to get accustomed to things. It's helped a little but I'm still extremely timid. Sometimes little kids scare me the most. My parents say they will keep working with me. Here is an article about "Puppy Fear Periods," and it explains a little about what I'm going through I think.

Have a new puppy? Are they suddenly afraid? There's a lot to get used to and prepare for, but one thing that often gets overlooked is puppy fear periods.
