🐾☀️ PAW-B&B Summer Break ☀️🐾

After a busy first half of the year filled with wagging tails, grooming appointments, daycare adventures, and overnight guests, PAW-B&B will be taking a short summer break.

📅 Closed August 1–8, 2026

During this time we will not be offering boarding, daycare, grooming, baths, or pick-up services.

This break allows us to rest, recharge, spend time with family, and prepare for the busy fall and holiday season ahead.

Please make any necessary arrangements and reserve upcoming services in advance.

I thought I was taking a cute selfie.

Dottie thought I was furniture.

She climbed on the back of the couch, parked her fluffy butt on my shoulder, and proceeded to supervise the entire room while I held still for her royal comfort.

At this point, I’m not sure if I run a dog hotel or if the dogs run me. 😂

Florida summers are no joke, and our pups can overheat much faster than we do.

🚨 Signs of Heat Stroke in Dogs:
🐾 Excessive panting
🐾 Drooling more than normal
🐾 Bright red or pale gums
🐾 Lethargy or weakness
🐾 Vomiting or diarrhea
🐾 Stumbling or difficulty walking
🐾 Collapse or loss of consciousness

💦 How to Help Prevent Overheating:
✅ Always provide fresh water
✅ Limit outdoor activity during the hottest hours (10am–4pm)
✅ Walk early morning or late evening
✅ Provide shade and cooling areas
✅ Never leave your dog in a parked car
✅ Test the pavement with your hand before walking

⚠️ If you suspect heat stroke:
• Move your dog to a cool area immediately
• Offer small amounts of cool water
• Wet paws, belly, and body with cool (not ice-cold) water
• Contact your veterinarian right away

At PAW-B&B, outdoor playtime is always monitored, with plenty of water breaks, shade, and indoor cooling time to keep our guests safe. 💕🐶

Back when we were lining up pups for photos with our little welcome board and hoping everyone would look at the camera at the same time. 😂

Fast forward to today, and while some things have changed, one thing hasn’t:

💗 The love.
💗 The care.
💗 The spoiled-rotten treatment every pup receives.
