Happy Holidays!

A friendly reminder both Lehighton/St. Francis animal hospitals will be closed November 27th-November 30th to celebrate the holidays. Please coordinate you medication refills appropriately to ensure a safe holiday weekend.
If you have a medical emergency during this time period, please contact the nearest emergency veterinarian. Valley Central Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center 610-435-1553 and Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center 610-904-1776 are both recommended 24/7 emergency centers.

You may have heard about a situation in Tamaqua where a gentleman passed away and there are 40-50 kittens in desperate need of removal. Tamaqua area animal rescue is working to get them out. As usual, rescues are full and can’t handle the extra load so we are doing our part to help out. Here are some photos of the three kittens we received. The one black and buff kitten are males and the other black kitten is a female. I will respond to the messages as I am able and it will be first come first serve. I will test them for felv/fiv/heartworm and deworm them. My goal at this point is to get them the proper nutrition and strength and find them great homes. If we are successful with this batch I can gladly help and take more.

We are looking for a friendly, motivated and organized person to join our animal care team. In this administrative role you will check in our animal patients, update their records-both animal and owner, schedule appointments, and process payments. You may also be asked to relay medical information to owners, provide at home care instructions and prepare prescriptions. Experience with animals and customer service not necessary, but preferred. Employee will work at both our Lehighton and St. Francis locations.
