Butterfly Lane is a premier equine facility focused on properly educating equine enthusiasts while emphasizing the importance of safety, balance and harmony with your horse. Although primarily an english based facility (including dressage, hunter/jumpers and eventing) we believe in educating our students with the well-roundedness of riding naturally...possibly even bareback and bridleless. Our wel

l loved horses are not just mounts to learn on but partners in our education system who in turn deserve optimum communication skillls. We emphasize this communication by teaching horse psychology. In other words...whether age 3 or 83 we teach you to think like a horse to understand their responses and reactions. We believe that horses are one of the most forgiving creatures that God created. Come and enjoy our family orientated farm that is purposefully modest in size with the intent to remain personalized. Certified Instruction grants clients the optimal opportunity to succeed in their equestrian adventures. Renae Rosier Remillard graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Equestrian Science in 1994 from Salem-Teikyo University. Completion of her Instructor Certification in 1993 from the Long Island International Equestrian Institute has also proved very helpful in her teaching career. She continues her education by participating in clinics and higher education classes always with the open-mindedness that there is always something more to learn about these great animals that we are blessed with. Renae's teaching skills are valuable for all ages and ablities as it focuses on safety, balance and horse psychology. Over 15 years of teaching experience coupled with massive education and exposure in the "equine world" has given her the phenominal ability to relax the nervous rider and focus the timid. She is also extremely effective in contributing to the needs of special needs kids using hippotherapy. As previous owner of Carousel Stables, Inc. in Gainesville, Florida, the former Renae McAtee recently remarried and moved to Tallahassee, hence the name "Butterfly" which signifies new beginnings.

I’m super proud of all the ribbons and the amazing champions this weekend, yet it isn’t really about the ribbons. It’s about the progression. It’s about the team atmosphere that is so positive. Team Butterfly had a great weekend with lots of learning, laughter, and encouragement. I am grateful as I’m still mourning my best friend who came to almost every one of these shows with me previously. I had to include a picture of Peps from the March show, but all the other photos are from this weekend.
🏆 Harper and Kaos were calm and cool and she had very positive rides…we are going home to work more on diagonals 😉
🏆Courtney and Chrome were rockstars winning a blue in every class and two championships as a result!
🏆Cheyenne and Andi are seeing better distances and they continue to connect and understand each other on a level that is fairly rare! They were Champions today in the Open Hunter!
🏆Charlie and River developed their jumping rounds in a magnificent way with solid placings!

Again I am thankful, blessed and can’t wait til May!
