August 17th is National Black Cat Appreciation day! 🐾

Today we are featuring Engine, one of our 3 month old black kittens waiting to be adopted. Engine was rescued from a car engine (hence the name) and has grown into a sweet boy. He’s been raised with other cats and dogs and is a fan of kids too!

Yesterday was another adoption event that started early and stayed busy the whole day!

We said goodbye to Spoon, Biscuit, Sam, Serrano, Koa, Bryan Wilson, Mame, Sara, and Scarlett.

Additionally, we adopted Marlin, Star, and Boots (grey) since last weeks adoption event.

Some new faces are in the Petco habitats including Fork, Aspen, Stripey & Beulah, and Dora (pictured) & Picasso.

Meet Onyx! 🐈‍⬛

Onyx is a 3 month old male who is ready to be adopted! He is a huge lover boy so beware, he loves to climb on his humans lap for snuggles all day. Onyx often gets caught “nursing” on your arm, cheek, ear, and even your toes! He just wants to be as close to you as possible!

Onyx has never met a stranger and would do great in any home where he will have a buddy all day. He doesn’t like being alone so ideally would be adopted in a home with another cat. He also loves kids because that means more people to snuggle with!

Our next adoption ready duo are Fork & Spoon! 🍴

Fork (calico) is the sassier girl who loves to play and is constantly running 24/7. She is very curious and you can find her in unimaginable places in your home! Fork can be elusive and hard to catch, but when she tires herself out, she enjoys cuddling at your feet. She is very friendly with other cats and seems happiest when other kitties are around to play.

Spoon (Siamese) is the dream lap cat. You can always convince Spoon it’s time for a snuggle session and nap. Spoon greets her foster mama daily by screaming and demanding to be held and thanks her with purrs and biscuits. If her sister, Fork, can manage to wake her up, they will play and wrestle until it’s time to nap again!

Together these 4 month old sisters keep ya on your toes! They are bffs so would love to be adopted together. They love resting together in sunshine, watching cat tv lizards, and double teaming their big foster brother.

Meet Aspen and Powder 🤍

Aspen is a 4 month old female, and Powder is a 3 month old male. They may look like siblings, but don’t let them fool you, they’re not related (although they may try to tell you otherwise). These two kittens grew up together, and are now ready to be adopted!

Aspen has beautiful blue eyes and Powder has two different color eyes. Both kittens are white with little grey patches on their heads. They are both laid-back kittens and definitely sweet. If you are looking to adopt a chill kitten, these are the ones for you!

Looking for a long-haired beautiful kitten? Look no further! Meet Isla.

Isla is a 6 year old very special kitty. She’s bounced around a few homes these past 6 years, but she’s ready to find her forever. She will need patience and extra love to warm up to her home, but when she’s comfortable she will be your very own shadow. She is a total purr machine and will sit next to you while you are watching your favorite show and ask for chin scratches. Isla also is a great co-chef and will help you make dinner every night while watching you closely. She makes a great companion.

Our post this week is extra special because we are featuring sweet Callie, who patiently waited months for her forever home.

Callie (now known as Maple) would definitely agree it was worth the wait. She has landed in the best home and her new mom says “Maple is the best. Her chirps and little meows are the sweetest. She loves the toys here and my children love her to death.” It is safe to say, Maple has decided life is good in her new home.

Maple was an “older” kitten when she found her family. Older kittens deserve a chance at a beautiful life too. Check out our website for our current adoptable cats and kittens, and maybe you will find your purrfect match. Happy tails, Maple! 💘
