To all our friends; Luna went over Rainbow Bridge just a few months prior to her 13th birthday. There are no words to express the grief her family is experiencing. Even Daniel's the cat, her shadow, is devastated. Luna was a gentle giant, and yet a protector. Smart and intuitive, full of s***k, she touched many lives. She was the reason I originally met Ray. Her temperament could not be outdone. Patient and calm around those who needed it, very in tune with her people and their inner feelings, sometimes sensing things before we realized them. We will always be grateful for our beach vacations, nature walks and snuggles. I will especially miss hearing her snoring, cooking her eggs and bacon for breakfast on weekends, and cuddling up next to her on the sofa waiting for her dad to get home! When he was within a mile of home, she would spring up and trot to the end of the driveway in anticipation of his arrival. After all, dad was the one who always stuffed her kong toy with jerky. There is no bond tighter than a man and his dog. How lucky Ray and Luna were to experience life together. So dedicated to one another, and willing to put their trust in each other during their journey of so many years. Luna will be cherished and tucked away in all of our hearts, in that special place where we keep our best memories, because those are never lost.
