Meet this week's Foster Friday featured pup, Cocoa!

Although Cocoa is not in foster care, she recently had the chance to go on a sleepover with a foster parent, and she loved it!

Cocoa is a 2-year-old, 45-pound Shepherd mix who originally came to Tallahassee Animal Services as a young puppy in 2023, and was recently brought back after her owner moved away. She has been showing signs of stress in the shelter environment, so a foster parent stepped in to take her on a sleepover and let her decompress for a couple days. Once in the foster home, Cocoa showed her true self: a loving, goofy, playful, and snuggly sweetie pie ❤️

Cocoa's In-Home Notes:
💗 Timid at first, but warms up and settles quickly
🧸 Loves toys, enjoys fetch, and is playfully goofy
💤 Loves snuggles, belly rubs, and cozy naps
⭐ Knows “sit” and is eager to please
✅ Potty trained, and did well when left alone uncrated

Meet Precious, a sweet pup who lives up to her name ❤️

Precious is one of our longest-stay dogs at the shelter, and she has soaked up all the love she can get during her foster sleepovers. With perfect house manners and a love of couch snuggles, Precious is truly a perfect pup!

🌸 Foster Friday Feature: BLOSSOM 🌸

Meet Blossom, the sweetest pup you'll meet! She had a rough start to life, but her past doesn't get in the way of her love. Since joining a foster home last month, this 3-year-old pup has ... well, blossomed!

Blossom is affectionate, loves attention, and enjoys nothing more than flopping on the couch with her people. Don't forget playtime though: even as a tripawd, she is already chasing after tennis balls like a pro after her recent leg amputation.

Zowie is a 3-year-old goofball who loves to play! After moving in with a foster parent earlier this year, she has blossomed into a loving and confident dog, ready to jump into action at a moment's notice. When she's not busy on a walk or solving a puzzle toy, Zowie has been doing great at learning how to settle, relax, and quietly entertain herself too.
