When it’s our day off our best farm boy gets a much needed groom. Mushu will be 4 years old in July and in his short time has racked up a few show titles with Brandon including #6 in the breed at just age 2 in 2023. He was invited to Westminster and Royal Canin and we couldn’t be more proud. Now mostly retired he works our cattle on our farm as he was bred to and is still stunning to look at while he works. Did you know your pup doesn’t need to be a pure breed in order to need a hand-stripping service? The service is best recognized on dogs have have a wired coarse coat (most notably terriers with other breeds and mixes as well). Take our boy Diggy for instance, his mom picked him up at the shelter and he was listed as a havaneese mix when he walked in Diggy had already rubbed out the hair from his chest and collar line because it was long and dead and definitely in need of being pulled and rotated. Keeping a dog hand stripped isn’t painful to the dog when done correctly, it also allows the dog to maintain texture along with water proofing abilities(it won’t have the hair grow back fluffy and profuse).
