Microchipping your pet is one of the best ways to prepare for hurricane season! Florida is prone to hurricanes, and pets can easily get lost during evacuations, storms, and other natural disasters. Microchipping ensures that your pet can be quickly identified and returned to you if separated! In the chaos of a natural disaster, collars and tags can easily be lost or damaged. A microchip provides a permanent form of identification and helps reunite you with your pet faster.

- The appointment must be requested no later than June 30th and completed by July 17th.
- When scheduling, request the free microchip in both the appointment notes as well as add the microchip as a service item.

Our Snip & Chip June promotion will now provide FREE spay/neuter surgeries for Leon County residents’ pets! Proof of residency is required, as well as getting your pet microchipped at the time of surgery (unless your pet is already chipped).

Our local shelter is experiencing a higher volume of intakes this year. Spay/neuter and microchipping pets is KEY to reducing these numbers! Let’s make a difference together! 🐾💛

Thanks to a generous grant from Florida Animal Friend, we’re helping make a difference by focusing on the youngest pets — dogs and cats under 1 year old — preventing unwanted litters before they begin.
