Earlier this month, Winston and I traveled to Alabama for Signet Dressage’s Promerade at the Park Dressage Show! We made our Third Level debut and Winston did phenomenal, earning my first Third Level score towards my b***e medal. It has been such a blessing to lesson and show on such a talented horse! Achieving any USDF Medals felt so out of reach but thanks to this amazing horse and my equally as amazing dressage instructor, I am now one score away from my Bronze Medal 🤩
I have loved learning this new discipline and cannot wait to see what the next few years hold!

I am just so bad about posting on here 😆 Here is a much needed Iris update!

Miss Iris is doing phenomenal in training. She is easy to catch, leads walk/trot, stops and backs off body language, stands tied, picks up all four feet and will get her first trim on Friday, stands to be groomed and fly sprayed, moves out on a circle, side-passes towards and away, pivots, goes over obstacles, and has started big girl turnout with Abu and Bobby (two other Mustang residents)! She has started gaining weight and is starting to slick out. She is going to be even more beautiful in no time 🤩

Iris has been a joy to train. She is incredibly smart and willing. Her owner adores her and is so excited about their future together. She will be heading home and the end of the month!

Meet Tag #7951, a beautiful yearling filly from Conant Creek HMA!

A few months ago, my dressage instructor, Susan, approached me about gentling a mustang for her. After seeing the 6 mustangs who have come through my program over the past few years turn into amazing horses, she decided the breed may be for her!

On Wednesday, we traveled up to Kentucky to pick out the lucky mustang. After a long day in KY, we came home with this beautiful black filly.

I am so excited to have another Mustang at the farm. I will do my best to post updates as she goes through training. This filly is PERFECT for her new owner and I cannot wait to watch them grow together!

So proud of this team! Bobby and Nuriya just wrapped up day 2 of filming for the International Liberty Horse Association’s Virtual Show. Nuriya has worked hard to get Bobby prepped for the show and the hard work payed off! We are excited to see how they do. Good job, Nuriya!

Nuriya, one of my students, and Bobby are killing it in their liberty work! Yesterday we introduced liberty circles and Bobby caught right on. Nuriya plans to compete in the International Liberty Horse Association’s virtual show series in 2026 with Bobby and I couldn’t be more excited for her! They make quite the team!

This is Gibby, a 6y/o Thoroughbred gelding. I unknowingly rode Gibby in an ill fitting saddle and did not realize until he had body soreness. I immediately got him adjusted by our chiropractor, body work done, and a saddle fitting! Gibby is no longer in pain and now has a properly fitted saddle, but he still had a negative association with saddling. Gibby anticipates pain which causes him to be very disgruntled while saddling. Here is how I helped work through this fear pain and create a new, positive association with saddling!

Success story time!! Who remembers Kuna, the BLM Mustang that came in for gentling last year? Well, here she is now! Jumping around ba****ck with one of Shannon’s (her owner) students. Kuna has gotten a wonderful foundation under saddle at O'Hatnick Equestrian LLC with head trainer/owner, Shannon O’Hatnick. Kuna will be looking for her new home soon, so check out their page and keep an eye out if you’re looking for a sporty Mustang!

Gibby (JC: He’s Mighty Tuff) is developing so nicely under saddle! He lived by his name and gave Sydney and I a “mighty tuff” time at some points in his training, but he has become such a straightforward ride. He still needs some developing before I officially list him but if anyone is looking for a 6y/o, 16.1hh registered Thoroughbred gelding with a BIG personality, Gibbs may just be your guy. With three big, springy gaits, he would excel in the English world. Whether he’s in the hunter ring, dressage ring, or eventing ring, he is bound to make heads turn!

Meet Heaven’s Swift Sailor, “Bobby”. Bobby is an 8y/o, 14.2hh gelding from Devils Garden HMA. He was my draw for the 2024 MHF Spectacular Extreme Mustang Makeover. Bobby did well in training for the competition but I felt he needed more time to decompress and settle into domestication so I withdrew him from the competition. He sat quite a bit last year and was just left to be a horse. I brought him back into work late last year/beginning of this year and he has been doing so much better! He is so much more confident and comfortable around people. He is currently going walk/trot under saddle in the round pen and is doing well. Bobby will be a-vailable to the PERFECT, forever home. I will be posting his ad within the next couple weeks. I will be extremely picky on where Bobby goes! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you are interested.

Mr. Lincoln had his first off property adventure the other day! I trailered Lincoln and Daytona over to my dressage instructor’s farm for some life experience. Of course, Lincoln did amazing. Link was so calm, cool, and collected from the second he stepped off the trailer. We had a lovely ride w/t/c ride and then Lincoln stood quietly at the trailer for over an hour while I rode Daytona. This pony has such a good head on his shoulders and I am just so impressed with him. His cantering needs a little more fine tuning, then he will be ready for his new pasture!
