Taft City Animal Shelter, CA The Taft City Animal Shelter receives animals that have been found stray in the City of Taft. If your animal is neutered or spayed it's 37$ to get them out.

IMPOUND FEES:
When animals are impounded, there is a fee to get them out. If you have a male adult dog or a female adult dog who is impounded, and not neutered or spayed, it would be 72$. A 10$ fee per day will be added from the day we have contacted you as well. ADOPTION FEES:
Dogs; 60$ or 63$ depending on if you live in the city residence or county residence. Cats; 30$ for female. 25$ for male.

I just want to let you know under no circumstances are to abandon an animal anywhere. That goes for at a shelter or in the middle of nowhere. You stated that you found this cat at your house, but you were moving and couldn’t care for it. I suspect this is your cat and you just wanted to dump it before you moved.

Animal shelters take good care of the animals under their care and that’s what we will do.

I hope she was not dumped. It’s hard on old dogs when they are taken away from the only home they know. We do take good care of the dogs at our shelter, but it’s not like being home and in your own bed.
