Good morning friends! Just a little Ted talk this morning…
If we tell you that your dogs have fleas or ticks, if you’d like to argue, you can take your dog elsewhere. We are not dishonest people. We do not make things up. It is not our fault that your dog isn’t treated with preventative flea and tick meds. We have a 2500 sq ft building. We have to bomb the building when we have dogs come in with fleas or ticks. It is not “our job” to do it anyway. We also get bit while washing your dogs that have fleas. They’re worse than mosquito bites! You should be charged for the bath they get, and a no show fee. But we don’t. We let you put that money towards treating them, and happily reschedule you to our soonest availability. Be appreciative.
If you cancel your appointment outside of 48 hours, it’s a $25 fee PER DOG!!! If you or your very dear loved one are not in the hospital, you can call us to cancel. If you are in the midst of a family emergency, you can still shoot a text. If your appointment is on Monday, you have until 3pm on Thursday to cancel. We cannot fill appointments if we are not open. I do not pay monthly for a reminder system so that you can cancel on Sunday when you get the reminder text. Put it in your calendar! I refuse to pay my girls out of my pocket because you cannot reschedule in time. It messes up our entire schedule, and comes straight out of my wallet. If you do not agree, go somewhere else. We have a list of clients waiting to take your place.
If I am not at the shop, and you question my girls’ authority or knowledge, or honesty, you can quietly move on to another groomer. They know their limits, and obviously they know more about grooming than you do. So before you feel the need to discredit them or their capability, please rethink the situation. It does not sit well.
If you ever have questions, or concerns, lay them on me. I can take all of your critique, your concerns, or your praise. I’ve got broad shoulders. But do not expect to tell your friends, or keep it to yourself, and expect us to do things differently in the future. It doesn’t work like that. If you have a bad experience and do not personally call and speak to me, it may happen again. Just remember that we are just as human as you are, although probably not as perfect! We love our clients and love our dogs!! Thank you to those who make our jobs easier! We truly appreciate you!!!
