A sad comment on one of our posts.😿
"When I moved into my first place at 19, I rescued a barn kitten. My mom pressured me into declawing her, (front only,) bc I had just gotten new furniture for my apartment. 3 years later I started working as a receptionist at a vet clinic, and the more I learned about declawing, the more mortified I grew. I spent the rest of her life (she lived to be 16,) regretting that decision. I mean, I still regret it now too. She was a very fearful cat, and lashed out easily in anger. There’s no doubt in my mind that was a direct result of her declawing. I have not and will not ever declaw another cat in my life. RIP Roxanne, I hope you can forgive me for making an uninformed decision that affected you so much. I will always lo Audrey.
