You guys may be wondering why I haven't been posting any updates in a while so I will fill you in. After this rainy season we discovered a lot of water on the property. There are many parts where it is a soggy mess. This is going to require extra costs to get the water either diverted or more soil needs to be put in. Unfortunately that has blown our budget we need to figure out the best route and stay within our budget with something much smaller and grow later or wait for the kennel portion and work with the buildings we have. Once I have a definite plan, I will update you all. Thank you for your support on this endeavor and we haven't given up yet!

OMG, if it isn't one thing it's another. After the first real downpour of rain, we have discovered too much water for our plans for a larger building. We just don't have the budget for all the engineering for flood control for the large building. I am looking into new shipping containers for the kennels and rolling with the original out building plan, but without the kennels attached to them. Looking for anyone that can cut metal so I can get an estimate on what it will cost to get openings cut.

UGH. The county won't let us use our current outbuildings because they are too close to the property line. Back to the drawing board to figure out what is going where to make quality use of our money... I was just planning on posting the design drawings too... More to follow.

Met with a contractor this weekend. As all who are trying to start a business know, there are a lot of unknowns that scare the crap out of us. Meshelle Renee tell Shane @ SH General Contracting thank you again for lifting some of this weight of my chest.

Thank you to all the followers of our fledgling business. We are currently working with Business Impact NW to get all the back end business fun squared away. We have great plans, but we need to recognize what needs to be done right away, the right way, and what needs to be done so we can grow.

On another note, since we won't have a lot of boarding spaces and we are making them luxury, I was thinking we should name ourselves The Cr8 Escape Doggie Daycare and Pet Resort. What do you think?

We closed on the property today! We have the keys in hand and are going to go check it out in the morning. And we are going to take measurements! Yeah, I’m excited about measurements which mean drawings and planning and designing! Oh my! Picture me doing Snoopy’s happy dance.

I've been asked about what part of the cover picture is the property. It is 3.6 acres and all the cleared space you see is ours. Everything is in order and we close on the 27th. I'm not going to lie, I am super nervous. 😬
