In most of our training packages, we do an exercise called “The Zen Exercise”
It has many benefits a few being that it teaches puppies & dogs how to properly relax when under stress, another being that it teaches puppies & dogs to trust their people when placed in stressful or vulnerable situations.
The Zen exercise can be used in many different situations and reasons. One being at the vet for examination.

From a repeat client:
“I am definitely recommending you for any and all future clients I can. Zen training is a life changer when you need help with your dog.
Started out with a small area that was swollen and a weird bump. Now, his entire snout is swollen, and I can’t even pet his face.
At the vets He started to freak out being in the room, on the table. So, I put him into zen and he calmed down enough that he started to close his eyes. Before that he was screaming and thrashing in the techs arms.
Once I got him Calm she was able to look at his face, then picked him up and took him straight back to the lead tech.”

Sweet Nala went home from her Puppy 2 Week Board & Train.
We worked on willingness to work, building her confidence, connection to people as her breed is a very independent breed , obedience and manners.
We’ll be transitioning her home and teaching her owners what we taught her and how to continue working her.

Another good week with amazing dogs and owners!

Wrigley (Golden Doodle) started his 2 Wk Board & Train

Sunshine (Bernedoodle) started her Private Lesson Package. I trained her big brother a few years ago and have the honor of training her.

Augie (Cavapoo) started his 2 week board & train as well

Follow-up lesson at the store with Izzy & Koda, helping build their confidence as well as their persons continue taking them into stores ♥️

Goose (Heeler mix) went home from his 4 Wk board n’ Train and his people are so happy to have him home

Ralphie & Maverik (Newfoundland puppies) started their Puppy Lesson Package this week. They have already caught on a lot to being lured into positions and offering to do them without lures.

Maverik (Heeler & Goose’s brother) is staying an extra week with me for more store and dog exposure. He is such a willing little guy and has a lot of try.

Did you know we offer free in-home consultations to discuss concerns, issues, goals and provide any tips that would assist with your puppy or dog.

Gretchen here did our puppy lesson package 1 1/2 yrs ago and her guardians ran into a few concerns recently, so they scheduled a consultation. I was able to address their concerns in the consultation so no further lessons were needed.
It definitely was so good to see Miss Gretchen all grown up!
