‼ Does your pet's food say "All Life Stages"? If it does, you might want to consider switching diets, and here's why: ⬇️
To legally be labeled “All Life Stages,” a diet must meet the minimum nutritional requirements for growth, adult maintenance & nursing/reproduction. These diets tend to have higher levels of fat, protein, calcium and phosphorous than what adults or seniors require. So when an adult or senior pet eats an “All Life Stages” diet, they’re essentially eating puppy/kitten food every day, which can put strain on their kidneys, heart and liver as they age.
Bottom line - “All Life Stages” diets are too broad and usually provide excess nutrition for adult and senior pets. Choosing a life-stage-appropriate formula helps ensure pets get exactly what they need—no more, no less—and supports healthier, longer lives. As always, ask your veterinarian for food recommendations (and not a random person on a pet page on social media 😉).
