Sometimes, you need a little nudge to get your butt in gear. I started the background for this enclosure back in January with the intention of moving a pair of L. williamsi into the tank. This was my first time attempting to build a removable background for a PVC enclosure. It was a bit of a learning curve, to say the least, but I think it turned out pretty well, considering I don't have a ton of experience.
The background and the substrate have been together for almost 2 months, but life got busy, and I never got around to finishing it. Today was the day. Not because I finally found some free time to mess with it, but because it had to be done. I unexpectedly had the opportunity to pick up a pair of geckos at Rexpo that I have wanted for years but haven't seen at a show since 2019. These guys were second on my bucket list right behind the L. williamsi that I am lucky enough to have 2 pairs of now. My williamsi will have to wait a little bit longer to get paired and placed in their permanent upgrades. Fear not, I have already replaced the PVC enclosure, and seeing this one put together has me more motivated than ever to get these enclosures done. I am excited to see how this will look when all the plants grow out.
If you made it this far, comment what species you think will be calling this terrarium home. If you already know, please don't ruin the fun and give others a chance to guess first.
