I can’t say enough good things about Johnnie! If you are looking for a pretty horse that Ropes (heads and heels) works a cow, handles great, does all the jobs happily and makes them fun, then…Johnnie’s your man! His pedigree speaks for itself, he’s a money winner on the heeling side of Team Roping in the 12.5 and 8.5 but is really fun to head on as well! He is super smooth and easy to ride! He’s got a great personality, work ethic and willingness to be a team player as most of his early life miles have been on the ranch and in the branding pen. His ears are always up and he learns new things very quickly! He loves working cattle and is easy to ride in and out of the arena. He’s really smooth at all gates, fun to ride and would excel in Ranch Versatility, Ranch Cutting, Penning/Sorting, Roping and with a little more time would make a nice Cowhorse or Reiner! We’d like to take a moment and say a giant “THANK YOU” to the crew at Western States Stock Horse association for putting on another great show and aged event!! It was really fun getting back in the show pen and seeing all the Stock Horse family again after being away for most of the summer!! We are so thankful to be part of such a caring and supportive community! All the donations of time, money and prayers for Allison’s healing are greatly appreciated!!!
For me, getting to watch my lovely wife throw down in her first Futurity and win a check against some very tough competition was icing on the cake for the season!! We love our horses very much and couldn’t be more proud of how they performed over the weekend! As I write these words Gratitude is streaming down my face because my wife is healing and able to participate in the sport that she loves, our horses are amazing, we get to be a part of an awesome association and surrounded by people that don’t just promote great horsemanship, they spread joy and love to everyone involved as well!!! We are truly blessed!!!!

We’d like to give a giant “THANK YOU “ to Jayme Red Deering and the crew at Shelly Lane Stables for hosting an awesome Clinic! We had a lot of fun hanging out and riding with everyone! The weather, the ground and all that participated made it a very enjoyable experience! Coquille Oregon will always have a special place in my heart, and this weekend was especially sentimental for me because my grandfather Clell Laird trained out of this very facility back in the early 1960’s! It was really fun to see old friends, make new ones and be around such an enthusiastic and encouraging group of horse people! We look forward to riding with you all again soon! Thanks again for everything!!!
