Love’m & Leave’m Home LLC ("The Love") services Delaware County including Swarthmore, Media, Springfield, Wallingford, Rose Valley, Drexel Hill and Ridley Township. The Love was founded in 2000 by Tina McElvarr, a Certified Animal Health Technician (CAHT). Prior to starting Love'm & Leave'm Home, Tina worked as a Veterinary Technician for 28 years and provided in-home pet care since 1972. The Love

currently has ten (10) fully trained pet-sitters on staff that "provide tender loving care when you can't be there". All of our pet sitters have been personally selected by Tina based on their professionalism and high quality care. The Love is fully able to administer all types of medications, injections and fluid therapy to your animal family members, as prescribed by your veterinarian. Most people use vet boarding facilities to ensure medical safety while they travel, or simply because they are not aware of the alternatives. We have always believed strongly that a pet is much happier at home in a familiar environment, and we are able to bring a medical background, which allows them to maintain their normal routine. Whether travel or extended daily work hours prevent you from being home, knowing that The Love will provide high quality care can make the difference in your sense of comfort. Our pet sitters background and experience will allow you to feel at ease when you are not at home, knowing your pets are in good hands! Since your pet is important to us, we tailor our services to meet each individual pet’s needs. Therefore, we do not set flat rates for services. Our average rate per visit ranges from $18 to $25, depending our your pet's needs. Please keep in mind that we do NOT charge individually for Each Additional Pet, Medication Administration, Holidays or Last Minute Changes, like most other pet sitting services. If you are able to work from home but sometimes can’t break away from a meeting or just want to put your feet up, we would be happy to help.

Our sitters would be thrilled to see their fur friends. Scoop poo in your yard, give a good brush out, nice long healthy walk.

Kitties too. Good time to do spring clean up. Wash out and scrub all litter pans and scrub litter area.

My 11 year old lab "Buster" has been on grain free for almost 2 years. I changed foods because I wanted our new rescue golden to be comfortable with his diet and Buster was healthy and fine.

So I thought. My dear boy was just diagnosed with this heart issue. Please be careful and check with your vets. Breeds that are not genetically predisposed are being diagnosed. Take action now.

A small but concerning number of dogs on diets heavy in lentils, chickpeas and other legumes have developed enlarged hearts. Researchers are investigating.

Today we said goodbye to a very dear friend. Since 10/25/2005 we have cared for “Franklin” almost every weekday. He was very special to all of us. He will be missed. RIP Frank. You left a lot of love here for us. A big thank you to Dr. Wilson of Media Vet for the kind and loving house call today. We know it’s not something your regularly do. It’s was so appreciated.
