I have to give a big thank you to my friend and, as I like to call her, my mentor, Daryl Waters Conner ! 😂💜
I truly appreciate our friendship and how willing she is to share her knowledge, experience, favorite products, and little tricks of the trade with me. There is ALWAYS more to learn in grooming, and I'm so thankful to have someone I can turn to when I have questions or want to try something new.
Some new goodies arrived today! The Results Rinse is one Daryl uses all the time and recommended I try, and that special towel was such a good recommendation that this is now my second one! 🙌 I also grabbed some Speed Dry and a new slicker while I was at it because apparently I can't place a grooming order without adding a few extras. 😂
Thank you, Daryl, for being such a great friend — and for putting up with being called my mentor! 😂 You know I appreciate you more than you know. 💜🐾

This happy girl was my first appointment of the day, and I just had to share her excitement!

Yes, I have a few clients who would rather pretend they’re not home when they see the grooming van. 🤣 But most of my furry clients are pretty happy to see me — and greetings like this make my day!

North Branch Farm

As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand just how much it means when someone chooses to support a local business.

Today I spent a little over an hour picking these beautiful, fresh organic raspberries and blueberries at North Branch Farm in Monroe, Maine — and it really doesn't get much fresher than picking them yourself! 😍

One of the things I absolutely love about this little farm is that it's pick-your-own and self-serve on the honor system. There's just something really special about still having places like that in our small Maine communities. ❤️.

This area is home to me, too. I grew up right nearby in Jackson and have lived in Waldo County my whole life, yet somehow I only discovered North Branch Farm this year! It just goes to show that sometimes some of the best little local places are right in our own backyard.

Whenever I can, I love supporting other local farms and small businesses. Every purchase matters. Every recommendation matters. And every time someone chooses a small local business instead of a big company, there's a real person and family on the other side who appreciates it more than you probably realize.

So here's today's little shout-out to North Branch Farm! 🫐🍓

🐾 A busy day with some VERY sweet new faces at Tail Waggers! 🐶🐶🐱

These two sweet pups joined me today for their grooming appointments, and I think I may have found myself a new best friend — one of these guys was a total HUGGER! 😂💙 He absolutely loved giving hugs throughout his appointment.

His sweet companion was a little more reserved and is still getting to know me, which is perfectly okay. 💕 One of my favorite things about one-on-one mobile grooming is having the opportunity to build trust at each visit and let pets get comfortable with me at their own pace.

And then there was this beautiful kitty! 😻 Her family wanted some of the length taken off her coat to make it easier to maintain and help with hairball issues. She did wonderful, and her family was very happy with her new shorter coat!

Dogs AND cats… just another day in the grooming van! 🐾✂️💜
