Hope everyone had a wonderful summer! Been a busy one here for sure. Finally got a chance to power wash everything. Air conditioning is off and all the doors are open! Fresh air. Yeah!🎉🎉🎉 Fair is coming soon and then Fall will be in full swing. Be sure to treat your dogs for fleas and ticks. We havent seen a tick all summer. So grateful.

Recently theres been a rise in vandalism at our local park which is unacceptable. The problem stems in part from kids being out of school with little to do. There are pickleball and tennis courts which appeal mostly to older Swanton residents. There is playground equipment for the younger kids but the only thing to offer that “in between” age group is a neglected outdated basketball court. Its not safe or appealing. The Swanton Rotary originally dedicated the courts to the park and we thank you! However now the court surface is cracked and uneven, the nets and backboards need to be replaced and there is currently no lights. The kids flip the switch and nothing happens. So Bear Back Ranch and Kennel Mayor Neil Toeppe and several of our youth are making an effort to repair the court and light it up again! We strongly feel that if we give this age group an inviting, well lit area to shoot some hoops and stay busy this summer, we can not only curb the vandalism but revive the courts for everyone to enjoy. Spring is coming!! Couldnt be happier with all the ice weve been dealing with. We are doing all we can to prevent a price increase and ask that you help us with that by being on time Lets be honest, time is money and in todays economy, every dollar and every minute counts. Our day here starts at 5 a.m. we open at 9 and set appt. times for drop off and pick up throughout the day. If youre late, everyone for the whole day is running behind. Myself included. Be on time. We have been asked on several occasions to stay open later for your convenience but again, I value my time and time is money. So of course we will meet you for an evening pick up when we can but there will be an additional charge of $50 and heres why. We have had people ask if they can possibly pick up at 7 pm (my day starts at 5) then they go home first or stop for dinner and show up at 8pm telling us how much they appreciate us and yet not even a courtesy tip for the time weve spent waiting on them. This is not practical for keeping prices affordable and it costs us in the end. We LOVE your dogs however we also love our dogs and want to spend time with them as well. So this change goes into effect March 1. We realize other kennels have raised prices to as much as $40 and $50 a day. We will remain at $25 for as long as we can but due to this, there has been a surge in new clients asking for space. If you want us to continue to include your dog in our schedule, you will have to be on time or we will be forced to ask you to find another kennel which means higher prices for you. We look forward to Spring with its warmer temps and longer days. Book your dates early if you can. Thank you❤️

Due to this bitter cold, we wont be open tomorrow. However if you lose power and we dont, you will still be welcome to hang out and warm up! Just let us know youre coming ahead of time😉 Be safe
