Steps to prevent being scammed:
1) stop looking for “cheaper” dogs. This is who they prey on.
2) Thoroughly thoroughly look through their entire FB page. When was it formed? Do the pictures stay consistent? Most of the time on scam groups and pages, you will see a wide variance of photos, lots of which are aren’t even in America. You will also see that there is a variance in race of the person they’re claiming to be. They don’t even try to steal photos well. BE DILIGENT!!!
3) Most of the scam pages have PERFECT looking puppies. The puppies they are posting, are all stolen photos, and most of them would be priced at $5000 or more. If it’s a perfect puppy and says “$300 including shipping”, it’s a scam.
4) If they ask for a gift card, or any other form of payment, it’s a scam.
5) Look for broken English - scam.
6) They can steal pictures AND videos, so don’t ask for videos and then automatically trust that as proof it’s real. Search their business online for an LLC or a license !!!!!
7) Do a reverse image search on Google of the photo of your puppy, to see if the image is used in multiple places.
*** Lots and lots and lots of the big groups are complete scams. Even if they have 5000 people in the group
