Dog Aggression & Resource Guarding can be very serious. Blue, the rescue Pitbull came for training for both. During training, we worked lots on building confidence around other dogs and knowing how to respond to triggers of food being around. To keep everyone safe, including the family pets at his home we did muzzle counterconditioning so we can safely train around high triggered items. Blue has been in multiple dog fights and the trigger has always been food so we did a tremendous amount of work to help him succeed.

During training, we work on a variety of triggers from dog walking closely to running by, and even coming from out of sight. This kind of training makes a huge difference in building trust and teaching dogs what they’re supposed to do in all situations.

Go! Boundary training. This cue is effective, and a phenomenal queue for safety or anytime you need your dog to give you space. Staying under the kitchen, moving away when you’re bringing groceries in the house, or getting away from something dangerous in the yard like a snake.

When Stormy first started coming here she was nervous and unsure. She is a rescue dog and struggled to trust people.

Today she joyfully came in and was playing with toys and giving kisses before her mom’s car was even out of the driveway. 🐾☀️
