A pet waste program should follow how people actually use the park.

Dog p**p bag dispensers belong along entrances, walking paths, and trails. Full pet waste station kits belong where people stay and where dog waste collection matters most, like dog parks, playgrounds, and picnic areas.

The goal isn’t more equipment. It’s smarter placement, better coverage, and cleaner public spaces.

I broke down a simple approach to placing pet waste stations, dog waste dispensers, p**p bags, and doggy bag stations throughout a park without unnecessary overlap.

Smart dog!!

Mako the Siberian Husky had one very cool idea for beating the heat. 🧊🐾

After going for a run on his family's 11-acre farm in North Carolina, the young husky disappeared when his humans returned home. Alice Rouse and her husband searched everywhere for him — until they noticed a fluffy tail was sticking out of the ice machine.

When they opened it, they found Mako happily lounging on the ice, keeping himself cool in the most husky way possible.

Alice captured the hilarious moment and shared it with the caption: "Cool dog! Looks like I need to lock the ice maker."

The video quickly went viral as people couldn't get enough of Mako's clever solution.

At the time, Mako was only 6.5 months old, and his family says the full-blooded Siberian Husky still considers the ice machine his personal cooling station.

"We don't have the heart to lock him out of it — yet," they joked.

Anyone who knows huskies knows they are intelligent, curious, and often determined to do things their own way.

Mako just proved that sometimes a dog doesn't need a cooling plan... they make one themselves. 😄
