You may have noticed a new face around Suwanee Animal Hospital! Dr. Colton Meeks joined our team in May, and we’re excited to officially introduce him and help you get to know him a little better. 💙

Dr. Meeks was born and raised on a cattle farm in Northeast Georgia, where his love for animals began at an early age. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega before earning his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. (Go Dawgs! 🐶❤️🖤)

He has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and ophthalmology and is passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Meeks enjoys spending time outdoors and hanging out with his beloved cat, Catfish.

Stanley is a sweet 7-week-old puppy that us today for his initial puppy vaccine appointment with Dr. Beach. These early visits are the first step in building a strong foundation of protection during a time when puppies are most vulnerable to infectious disease.

Puppy vaccines aren’t just a “one-and-done” visit — they’re a carefully timed series. Each booster helps strengthen and complete your puppy’s immune response, building reliable protection against serious diseases like parvovirus, distemper, adenovirus, and parainfluenza.

Why the full series matters:
• Puppies receive some temporary protection from mom, but it fades quickly
